Prior to iOS 12.2, the only option you could check your warranty or support information is by copying your serial number and enter the long sequence number plus the CAPCHAs on a website.
Thank you to the new iOS upcoming feature, it is allowing iPhone or iPad user to save the hassle by tapping the Setting app. If you go to Settings > General > About, you will find a new entry called “Limited Warranty” or “AppleCare+”. Tapping on it will offer more information about your hardware warranty status and gives you the option to buy the AppleCare+.
